- Terracotta Army literally "Soldiers-and-horses funerary statues" is a collections of terracotta sculptures dating back approximately in the late third century BCE,and was discovered by local farmers digging a water well in Lintong District,Xi'an,Shaanxi Province in March 29,1974.The figures,depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang the first Emperor of China,a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210-209 BCE whose purpose is to protect the emperor afterlife.The figure vary in heights according to their roles,the tallest is the general,other figures includes 8,000 Soldiers,130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses.Other terracotta non-military figures were found in other pits including officials,acrobats,stongmen and musicians.Majority were remained buried in the pits nearby Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum.
- Forbidden City located in Dongchen,Beijing was the Chinese imperial palace in 1420 to 1912 from the Ming Dynasty to the end of Qing Dynasty.The Forbidden City is now the Palace Museum,the palace complex consist of 980 buildings and covers 72 hectares is now the world's most visited museum with 14 million annual visitors.The Forbidden City is now listed by UNESCO as the largest collections of preserved ancients wooden structures in the world and was declared World Heritage Sites in 1987.
- Great Wall of China is a series of fortifications, generally build along the east-west line across the historical northern borders in China to protect against the invaders and raids of various nomadic groups.The defensive characteristics of the walls were enhance by the construction of watch towers,troop baracks,garrison stations,signalling capabilities through smoke and fire and paths to served as transportation corridors.The Great Wall stretches from Dandong in the east to Lop Lake in the West,along an arch in the southern Inner Mongolia.Several walls were being build as early as 7th century BCE,later joined together and made bigger and stronger.
- Summer Palace is a vast ensembles of lake,gardens and palaces,located in Beijing,the Palace is mainly dominated by Longevity Hill,a 60 metres (200 feet) high,rich with splendid halls and pavilions.The Kunming Lake,covering 3.2 kilometres (540 acres) was entirely man-made.The Summer Palace serves as a popular tourist destination and recreation park.
- Three Gorges are three adjacent Gorges along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River that span from western-upriver cities of Fengjie and Yichang in Chongqing Province easward-downstream to Hubei Province.The Three Gorges region Qutang,Wu and Xiling Gorges is renowned for their spectacular scenery and attracts global attention due to the Three Gorges Dam,it is also famous for his historical and cultural important location.
- Temple of Heaven situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing is an imperial complex of religious buildings.Construction of the temple complex started in 1406 to 1420 during the reign of Yongle Emperor,the grounds cover 2.73 kilometres of parkland and comprises three main groups namely;The Hall of Prayer and Good Harvest,The Imperial Vault of Heaven and The Circular Mound Altar.The park complex consist of playground,games,exercise and other facilities like choral shows,ethnic dance and other presentations.
- Grand Canal(China) also known as Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is the longest canal and artificial river in the world.The oldest part of the canal date back to the 5th century BC,although various section were combined during Sui Dynasty (581 to 618 AD).The Grand Canal started in Beijing,and passes through Tianjin and the provinces of Hebei,Shandong, Jiangsu,Zhejiang to the city of Hangzhou linking the river of Yellow and Yangtze rivers,the canal total length is 1,776 km²(1,104 mi).The Grand Canal has allowed faster trading and has improved China's economy and growing market in urban centers since Sui period.
- Mogao Caves also known as the Thousand Buddha Grottoes form a 492 temples.The Caves contain some of the finest Buddhist art spanning the period of 1,000 years and first dug out in 366 AD as places for Buddhist meditation and worship.S one other Caves are the Western Thousand Buddha Caves and the Yulin Caves farther away,and are also best known for the Chinese Buddhist,Longmen and Yungang Grottoes.The grottoes are one of the three famous ancient sculptural sites in China.A popular tourist destination located 25 km (16 mi) southeast of the center of Dunhuang in Gansu province.
- Leshan Giant Buddha is the world largest stone Buddha 71-metre (233 ft) tall stone statue and it is by far the Tallest pre-modern statue in the world.Carved out of a cliff in the Minjiang,Dadu and Qingyi rivers in the southern part of Sichuan province near Leshan City,the stone sculpture,faces Mt. Emei with the rivers flowing below his feet.
- Lugu Lake located in Yunnan plateau is a natural lake and has a horseshoe shape.The second deepest lake in China after Fuxianhu Lake,surrounded by mountains and has five islands,four peninsulas,fourteen bays and seventeen beaches.
