The Nation of Brunei is a sovereign state located on the north coast of the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia.Brunei is noted for ecotourism and Islamic tourism.

Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque is an Islamic mosque located in Bandar Seri Begawan,it is often considered as one of the most beautiful mosque in the Asia Pacific.A place of worship for the Muslim community,a major historical site and a famous tourist attraction.Completed in 1958,the mosque serve as a symbol to Islamic faith and dominants the skyline of the capital city,is an example of Modern Islamic architecture.Build in an artificial lagoon on the banks of the Brunei River.The mosque recognizable feature;The Main Dome,is covered with pure gold,stands at 52 m (171 ft) high and can be seen from virtually anywhere in Bandar Seri Begawan.The main minaret is the mosque tallest feature.In a unique way it mixes with Renaissance and Italian architectural style.On top of the minaret a tourists can enjoy the panoramic view of the city.

Jerudong Park is an amusement park,opened in 1994 is the smallest and most expensive in Southeast Asia.The park attractions;mini golf course,amphitheatre,water park,lazer maze,musical garden and the colonnade.The Playground features;ferris wheel,go cart,double-decker carousel,pedal boat,bumper cart,jumper and a lot more.Micheal Jackson performed a free concert in the amphitheatre on July 6,1994 and again performed another show on the New Year's Eve of 1997.Whitney Houston also performed on Aug.14,1996 for the wedding of the oldest daughter of the Sultan of Brunei.And Janet Jackson performed a private concert of her Velvet Rope Tour at the park of the twenty-six birthday of Princess Hamidah of the royal family.

Istana Nurul Iman (The Light of Faith Palace) is the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei and the seat of Brunei government.The palace is located in the leafy,riverside sprawl of hills on the banks of the Brunei River,a few kilometers from the capital city.The palace is often the center of state occasions and royal hostiptality.Designed by a Filipino architect Leandro V. Locsin,who utilized the architectural morif of golden dome and vaulted roofs to echo Brunei's Islamic and Malay influences.The interior of the palace is designed by Khuan Chew and the construction was handled by Ayala International,a Filipino construction firm,and completed In 1984.Upon completion,Istana Nurul Iman become the largest residential palace in the world and the largest single family residence ever build.It contains 1,788 rooms,which includes 257 bathrooms,a banquet hall that can be expanded to accommodate up to 5,000 guest,a mosque accommodating 1,500 people.The palace also includes 110 car garage,an air-conditioned stable for the Sultan's 200 polo ponies and five swimming pools.Total land area 2,152,782 sq ft.The palace is not open to the public except on the annual Islamic celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri (the festival at the end of the Muslim fasting month) a three day period were the guests receive gifts of food as well as green packets containing money for young childrens.The palace is also open to Muslims during the 10-days of the Ramadan.

Brunei Museum is the national museum of Brunei located at Kota Batu near the capital city of Bandar Seri Begawan.The museum has exhibits of Islamic arts,historical period of the 16th century and archaeology and ethnography.The largest museum of Brunei and was build in top of a hill to command the scenic view of Brunei River.The museum building has elaborate carvings and designs which are traditional Malay,Tomb of Sultan Bolkiah,ruler of the Brunei Sultanate in the 15th century,has a number of galleries such as Islamic-art gallery,natural history gallery and a gallery to hold temporary exhibitions.

Malay Technology Museum is a museum located in Kota Batu,Bandar Seri Begawan,situated next to Brunei Museum.The museum was donated by the Royal Dutch/Shell group of companies,in conjunction of the Sultanate's Independence in 1984.The museum is officially opened by His Majesty the Sultan on 29 February 1988.There are displays in boatmaking,fishing,metalworking and goldsmiths,the museum has three exhibition halls;water village traditional technology gallery,water village traditional house gallery and inland traditional technology gallery.

Sungai Bastong Recreational Park the most feature of this park is its cultural villages,you can familiarize yourself with the life of five ethnic groups here.Its refreshing atmosphere allows the old and young to multiple activities such as educational trips,camping,jungle trekking and just simply observed its green surroundings.

Ulu Temburong National Park was the first national park to be established in Brunei,protected since 1991.located in Temburong district and has a land area of 550 kilometers (210 sq mi).The park contains unspoiled jungle and is known as the "Green Jungle of Brunei",it is described as "the finest example of the Sultanate's successful forest protection policy.It is an important ecotourism centre in Brunei.The Peradayan Forest Reserve is also located in the district and Batu Apoi Forest Reserve is near the park.

Kampong Ayer or the Water Village located in Bandar Seri Begawan that is situated in Brunei Bay.39,000 people live in the Water Village and the buildings are constructed in stilts houses and wooden walkways above the Brunei River.This clusters of 42 villages housing more than 30,000 inhabitants is the world largest water village linked together by more than 29,140 meters of foot-bridges,consisting of over 4,200 structures including homes,mosques,restaurants,shops,schools and a hospital.36 kilometers of boardwalks connect the building.Private water taxis provide rapid transit,most of this taxis resembles long wooden speed boats.The districts has a unique architectural heritages of wooden homes with ornate interiors.Visitors can have a personal experience of this heritage by taking one of the many water taxis that ply daily between the water taxi jetty infront of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah in the center of the town and the water village itself.

Tasek Merimbun Lake the largest lake in Brunei,i t is located in Mukim Rambai in Tulong district about 79 km from the capital city.The S-shape lake is 27 km from the town of Tulong town is surrounded by Tasek Merimbun Heritage Park.The Lake is dark in color a phenomenon generated by tanning coming from the falling leaves into the water.The visitors can hire a boat to take them around to explore the lake and it's two islands.There is a small island that can be reached via a wooden walkway,here picnic pavilions facilities fashioned by logs enhance enjoyment of this restful spot.In 1967  Tasek Merimbun is a valuable assets and a potential wildlife sanctuary,the lakes bio-diversity and socio- economic activities conducted in 1983-84 led to the discovery of a rare White-collared Fruit Bat.
  10. Serasa located in the easternmost and northernmost Mukim in the Brunei-Muara district,it contain the largest port in the country,Muara Port.There are several islands and two sand spits which are contained within Mukim Serasa,they are;Pelong Rocks and Pelumpong spits (also called the Muara spit).
