South Korea is located in East Asia on the southern half of Korean Peninsula is equally known for its green,hilly countryside dotted with cherry trees and centuries-old Buddhist temples and subtropical islands.

  1. Gyeongbokgung Palace was the main royal palace of Joseon Dynasty.build in 1395,it is one and the largest Five Grand Palaces,located in northern Seoul.The palace served as home of the Kings of Joseon dynasty and also the government of Joseon.Gyeongbokgung was destroyed by fire during Imjin war and was abandoned by two centuries.However,the palace 7,700 rooms were restored under the leadership of Prince Regent Heungseon in the 19th century,and most of the buildings were also restored.In the early of 20th century the royal court again was destroyed by Imperial Japan.Today,the palace is the most beautiful and grandest of all five palaces.The National Palace Museum of Korea and the National Folk Museum is located in the premises complex of the palace.

Changdeokgung Palace is one of the five palaces build by the king of the Joseon dynasty,located in large park in Jongno-gu,Seoul.The palace was mostly favored by many of the Joseon prince.Changdeokgung is the second palace after Gyeongbokgung which had been established in 1395.The palace was burnt to the ground during the Japanese invasion in 1592,again in 1623 after the revolt of King Injo against Gwanghaegun,and the palace was also attacked by Manchu Qing.Today there are 13 buildings remaining in the palace and 28 pavilions in the gardens,occupying 110 acres (45 ha).The worldwide travel expert evaluation and the readers preference choose the palace as the world's 500 attractions in research.

Changgyeonggung Palace originally the summer palace of the Goryeo King and later become one of the Five Grand Palaces.The palace origal name is Suganggung build by King Sejong in the mid 15th century for his father King Taejong.In 1483,King Seongjong renovated and enlarged the palace and renamed the palace to its current name,Changgyeonggung Palace.The palace was attacked several times in the late 16th century by the Imperial of Japan,an attempt to conquer the land,and was largely destroyed in the 20th century and was torn down to give way to a modern park,a showplace for the empire's Ueno Park in Japan.They build zoo,botanical garden and museum.

Seoul Grand Park is a park complex in the city of Gwacheon south of Seoul.Facilities include hiking trail,park zoo,children zoo,a rose garden,SeoulLand amusement park,and the Seoul Museum of Modern Art.The park also has a separate admiration fee for Line 4 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway stops at Seoul Grand Park Station and has free shuttle bus from art museum and upper park entrance.In 1 November,1909 the Grand Park Zoo was opened,the first korean zoo by Japanese occupying forces located in the royal palace of Changgyeongweon until 1984 when it was relocated to his current site in Makgyedong,Gwacheon.

Deoksugung Palace a walled compound palace inhabited by the royal family members of Korea during the Joseon Dynasty until the end of 20th century and the palace is one of the Five Grand Palaces build by the Joseon.Some of the buildings were build of stone to replicate the western palatial structures.Special attractions in the palace are forested and western style gardens and fountain,statue of King Sejong the Great,the National Museum of Art which holds exhibitions,picturesque road with  stone walls,and the changing of royal guards infront of Daehanmun (gate).

Gyeonghuigung Palace one of the Five Grand Palaces build by Joseon Dynasty.Literally named as "Palace of Serene Harmony".Gyeonghuigung is a secondary palace for the King,used when in times of emergency.During the reign of King Gwanghaegun the palace started construction in the 1600,about ten Kings stayed in the palace,build using the slanted geography of the surrounding mountain,has traditional beauty in its architecture and a lot of historical significant.In 19th century most of Gyeonghuigung was lost to two fires during the reigns of King Sunjo and King Gojong.In the 1990"s the South Korean Government's initiative to reconstruct and rebuild the Five Grand Palaces.However,the government was able to reconstruct about 33% of the former palace.

Hanyangdoseong or the Fortress Walled of Seoul build in 1396 is a series of wall made of stones,woods and other materials,build to protect the city against invaders.The wall stretches 18.6 km along the ridge of Seoul four inner mountains,today a 12 km section of the wall is designated as historic site no. 10,certain sections of the wall undergone extensive restoration work.The Fortress wall contain eight gates were originally constructed between 1396 and 1398,about 197,400 young men were placed under requisition over two years.Today the best well-preserved of Hanyangdoseong section is in the wall of Mt. Bukaksan,a 2.3 kilometers trail,previously off-limit to the public due to close proximity to Changuimun a military reserve area.In 2006 the fortress opened to the public.

Lotte World located in Sincheong-dong,Seoul,a major recreation complex,it consist of the world's largest theme park(a Guinness World Record),open all year long without holidays and it has two main sections,the outdoor amusement park Magic Land an artificial island inside a lake and the indoor amusement park,Adventure.Opened in 1989,Lotte World received 7.3 million visitors each year,The amusement park can easily access via Jamil Station of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway,the park location is near the Seok-chon Lake.
